Aldi: wooden Climbing Triangle   Aldi: Toilet Trainer Stepr

At the moment with the cost of living rising in all areas of life, parenting has become even more expensive so finding baby and toddler equipment at bargain prices is a real boon. Aldi's middle aisle Baby Event helps parents balance the books by offering well known makes like Nuby at much lower prices but you have to be quick off the mark as once they're gone, they're gone, as I discovered.

I took a bus to my nearest Aldi in the expectation of getting an Uber home. I was looking out for the Sohl Learning Tower (at £34.99 a lot cheaper than other brands) designed to let little ones safely reach the perfect height to join in on activities in the kitchen and which has a dual purpose as it easily transforms into a handy table ideal for crafty play, complete with a built in chalkboard. Sadly I missed this bargain.

Still available and great value were: Nuby RapidCool (£29.99), the Babylo Standing Jumper (£39.99), the Lascal Baby Buggy Board (£34.99) and the Joie mimzy™ snacker high chair (29.99) but I didn't need these.

There were lots more bargains to be had including Nuby tableware (£5.99), and some lovely sleep suits and sleeping bags. So what did I come away with? Well, Lizzie likes to climb so an Active-Tots™ Wooden Climbing Triangle (£39.99), mamia Toilet Trainer Stairs (12.99) and set of two Nursery baskets £7.99

At the checkout I noticed that one woman had stocked up with a pile of the baby sound books at £2.49 each.

Shopping in Aldi was stress-free and staff were friendly and quick to check prices and point out where items were. Lovely guy at the checkout arranged for a colleague to carry my items outside for me. Shame they couldn't arrange a cab as well as none was available and I staggered home on the bus!
