Having had wooden toys from Melofaver before and been impressed with them, I had high expectations for their Wooden Baby Walker with Wheels. Having seen Lizzie bombing around with the one I bought for her first Christmas, before she could walk, this is for when baby Annie reaches that stage.
This toy needs assembly. The individual components are well made and the instructions are easy to follow with everything clearly labelled and different screw sizes in separate bags. Everything is nicely wrapped within the packaging. It was supposed to have all the tools needed to put the toy together. Sadly not – within my box were two Allen keys of the same size – no use at all for the smaller screws. Fortunately I have a set of screwdrivers.
After that hiccup, the toy went together smoothly with no problems and it looks cute. The toy is great as a stable aid to learning to walk plus offers lots of play opportunities as an ice cream cart with six different "flavoured" ice creams and five ice lollies to dispense, a fruit maze on one side and a shape sorter on the other. A row of coloured beads to count completes the set which includes storage space for small things a little person may wish to push around. Rubber on the wheels for long-lasting use, provide smooth gliding, and prevent damage to your floors.
The toy offers lots of possibilities for creative and imaginary play.
I was going to reduce a heart over the wrong Allen key but am feeling happy with the overall product.
