Developed by Silipos, an international company, the gel was originally used in bandages, wraps and pads and their products have wide-ranging applications in podiatry, wound and burn care, plastic surgery and dermatology. The gel is a tri-block polymer that contains vitamin-enriched mineral oil that gradually permeates the skin to nourish and moisturise your hands. The gel includes olive, canola, jojoba and grapeseed oils, soybean extract, vitamin E and avocado oil (vitamin A) to hydrate the skin. The gel is hypoallergenic and bacteria-resistant. PWT verdict:
My
hands were looking in
real need of some tlc. The gloves were
comfortable to wear – although I couldn’t see myself wearing them
overnight! – but I couldn’t really do very much when I had them on, so it had to be when I was
watching the TV. After
two weeks using them for 20 minutes twice a week, the
skin on the backs of my hands looked and felt much
better. The gloves last for
40 treatments so that works out at 50p a time – or
£1 a week – so not at all expensive.
