The Mumgaroo Baby Sling arrived on an afternoon when Lizzie had woken from her nap and wanted to be cuddled while I was preparing lunch. When I opened the package, Lizzie was curious...
The sling is made of cotton which is always a plus for me. The ergonomic design design shoulder strap is wide with a mesh insert making it cool and easy to wear while evenly distributing the baby's weight and effectively reducing the pressure on your shoulders and waist.
You can adjust the the length of the baby sling wrap to achieve the most comfortable state for child and adult. A heavy-duty buckle includes a double safety design, which has been tested to ensure the safety of the baby.
The baby sling carrier is said to be suitable from three to 36 months but the comprehensive and well written instruction booklet which comes with the sling suggests six months as a more appropriate age. I agree but haven't tried it with a young baby.
The sling weighs only 410g, folds up to 6cm, making it perfect for packing in the change bag when going out.
The Mumgaroo baby sling is much easier to use than more conventional carriers. I found it easy to pop Lizzie into the "seat" and tighten the straps without any help. Lizzie was comfortable and happy so much so that after we'd tried the sling, she brought it over to me to use again – which we did.
This will be so useful when we're out and she suddenly demands to be carried! My back is very grateful to the sling.
