Little Tikes My First SchoolThe Little Tikes My First School inspires imaginary play.

The Little Tikes My First School comes with a lovely ringing doorbell which captures three-year-old Victoria’s attention. However, I was pleased to see that the doorbell can be turned off (for the sanity of parents and of course, to save on battery life).  I love this attention to detail.

Victoria had a blast ringing the doorbell and alerting her students that it’s time for school. With the Little Tikes My First School the possibilities are endless. Additional features such as a blackboard with a table and two chairs, the slide and a working roundabout for the playground as well as the teacher and two student figures all contributed to the fun of pretend play.  The toy truly activated her imagination.  In the morning on waking, the Little Tikes My First School is the first toy Victoria wants to play with and the last before bed. Notably, the Little Tikes My First Schoolare impressive as they are realistic.  Thumbs up to Little Tikes for providing the batteries required for this toy. From the store to home, no extra work is required for the Little Tikes My First School to start working its magic.

Although, Victoria and I in particular, have great fondness for the Little Tikes My First School there are two things which gave me pause.  Firstly, on the part of Victoria, I noticed that she got very frustrated whilst play, like any three year old would, when the two students and the teacher figures kept falling off the chairs provided. In fact, I had an awful time trying to get the bodies to remain seated; they just kept sliding off the chair to Victoria’s dismay. This I felt let the toy down. In my opinion this is an easy fix, where the chairs could have been moulded better or the figures could be secured similar to how it’s done with Lego.  Secondly, I find £20 is a bit pricy for what you get with the Little Tikes My First School. I consider a better price point would be £14.99. On the other hand, when compared to the prices of the wooden school houses one could say £20 is a steal.

However, Victoria really loves playing pretend with the Little Tikes My First School thus with that said, her happiness is priceless.
