Soup Can Make You ThinRecent research has revealed that including soup as part of a calorie controlled diet can improve weight loss – especially when you exercise more as well. The bulk of the soup helps to fill us up and none of the nutrients of the ingredients are lost as they may be through other means of cooking.

As winter approaches, soup becomes increasingly popular to warm us up and keep us nourished. Fiona Kirk and Jean Barr have created an excellent book, Soup Can Make You Thin based on sound nutritional advice – and you don't need to be weight conscious to benefit from these delicious soups that Jean has concocted and Fiona written about.

Most of the soups can be made relatively quickly which is a bonus for busy families. My personal favourite in the Superskinny Soups section is the Chines Little Gem & Chicken/Tofu Soup. There are often vegetarian options to the meat ingredients and the soups are seriously main course affairs.

in the 10 Day Flab-fighting Diet you have soup with every meal plus a salad/ roast vegetables, oat cakes for snacks along with raw vegetables. I haven't tried this diet but it certainly looks appetising.
