Barbecue Play Set for Little Chefs

Even before we got this set up, my granddaughter was happily playing with the food and utensils. The barbecue was simple to assemble and it's great having the wheels so it can be easily pushed around. A great set of utensils, a pan and a griddle make this perfect for pretend play but I think the food could have been more imaginative. Fortunately we have other play food to add to what's on offer.

There's also one black apron and chef's hat for children to completely get into role. The barbecue measures 68x32x67cm with a four-point reinforced stand ensuring stability and two smooth-rolling wheels for easy relocation. The whole thing is really well designed with 12 hooks for the cooking implements and pans. It includes an oven glove which has become a favourite with Lizzie .

Although we haven't tried this yet as Lizzie is probably a bit too young for it, there is a simulated charcoal and dual ignition system which makes the charcoal glow, making sizzling sounds, and water-based vapour smoke (requires water filling) to simulate a real barbecue experience.

This is a good toy for encouraging cooperative, imaginative and role play an has been a huge success in our household. and makes a great birthday or festival present.
