- a smallish, shallow one for little ones
- a larger fun pool with water slides for little people as well as the more adventurous
- a large swimming pool
The two shallow pools have a gulley running round them which is perfect for infants to play in as well as making an ideal parking spot for the menagerie of inflatable animals, fish and rings children were playing with (available to buy at the onsite supermarket and there's a handy pump just outside the store).
The water in the pools is run through a sterilising process so no need for chlorine which is such a treat. The two play pools were great fun and Harriet loved being with the older children too. The sounds of happiness were very audible. At five pm there was a mini disco that often looked more like a workout (that a few of adults around the pool could have done with!). It was all great fun and repeated in the Miniclub (a building near the pools) where there was a bouncy castle, soft play and art materials available to use at little tables and chairs.

Every day Minci Today – published in Italian, German and English – was delivered to each home. This gave the expected weather and a place of interest to visit plus programme of events for the day and the evening activities for the week ahead. At 9.00pm most days, there was something at the Parc cinema or Amphitheatre including a Wii Tournament.
So there's plenty to do for most age groups although much is curtailed if it rains. Thomson Al Fresco Altomincio Parc is ideal for families with infants and children of primary school age and up to about 13.
