The Lascal Buggy Board Maxi has been an absolute saviour for me! There is a two and a quarter year age gap between our two children, and we decided early on that we had no intention of buying a double buggy when our second child (Barney, now six weeks old) arrived, as we knew our need for it would be short-lived. Eva (now aged two years four months) is a good walker, but like any toddler will get tired and whingey after a while - usually half-way home from the shops. So for the first few weeks of Barney's life, when the three of us went out and about, I was always worried that Eva would reach her limit, become impossible and I would end up trying to push a pram and carry a toddler home. As a result, I never went too far.
The Buggy Board solves the problem perfectly. From the moment we fitted it, Eva, who calls it her "skateboard", was very excited. She is happy to go anywhere on it, and so I have managed to extend the ground I can cover with the two children by at least 50 per cent. In fact, she likes it so much I now struggle to get her to walk!
Not only is the Buggy Board a great solution, it is really well designed. t has really been put to the test in the last couple of days as I have ploughed through snow and ice. The inbuilt suspension system means that it remains steady, even up and down kerbs, and the way is fits to the pram is very secure. Although it was a little more fiddly to fit to the pram in the first instance than I expected, once fitted it gives you all the flexibility you need – it can be easily detached, or simply "stowed" away when not in use.The Buggy Board's universal design means it really will fit to almost any pram, buggy or travel system and I would recommend it to anyone about to have a second child – at £49.95, it is much cheaper than a double buggy!
