Hardwall TakkerTakker products are currently one of the official tools on this season's Peter Andre's 60 Minute Makeover. Use the original Takker to hang frames weighing up to 10kg on plasterboard, timber and fencing and the Hardwall Takker is an ingenious hand-powered device that enables you to hang pictures, mirrors, bathroom hooks, kitchen accessories and much more up to 12kg onto any surface, including brick, concrete, mortar, plasterboard and even ceramic tiles!

I had already had one defeat hanging the Christmas wreath on the front door (it fell off) so then used the Hardwall Takker which was just as claimed simple to use, with absolutely no mess and no worries about a power drill getting out of hand. It feels strange to be holding the Takker flush against the door but it removes the problems of drilling at an angle or making mistakes. Plus it is lightweight. You just turn the handle until the red floating base compresses fully – that is when the hole is at the exact depth to hold the Takk (24 of these are supplied). The Hardwall Takker also comes with four picture hooks, four canvas hangers and two medium multipurpose hooks.

I am looking forward to using the Takker for lots more "hangings" around the house and garden.

The Hardwall Takker costs £22.49 (plus £2.50 p&p) and refill packs cost £3.99 (with free p&p) for Takker Products.
