If you’re looking for an exciting and different Christmas or birthday present then my recommendation would be look no further. So Bomb Bath Bomb Dispenser from Canal Toy fits that bill perfectly.
Our grandchildren, Chloe, aged seven and Jack, four, like most children of their age, love fizzy bath bombs and bath bubbles. So when asked if they would like to try this mini bath bombs’ dispenser they whooped with joy. Their mother didn’t know what to expect and thought perhaps the bath bombs being small would put them off. No way!
The fact that the bath bombs shot out of the dispenser randomly made it even more appealing. And then the amazing fizz and scents – which one will they get this time? Vanilla, blueberry, strawberry or pineapple? All beautifully coloured to match the dispenser.
In order to get the best value and most "awe and wonder" from this activity, I suggested running the warm bath as usual before the children got in, let each child turn the knob to retrieve the bath bomb and then place in the bath to watch it fizz and produce that fantastic smell. Then the children could get in. What was I thinking? It was as though I’d never supervised excited children at bath-time before. The children preferred to get into the bath first, twist the knob fast and watch a collection of bath bombs whizz out of the dispenser into the water and then fizz. Much more fun and laughter. Not like Nana’s boring method.
Even more magical is that as the bath bombs dissolve they each reveal a small charm so that once enough are collected they can be made into a keepsake bracelet (or two). Adults obviously need to supervise for younger children such as Jack. Canal Toys recommend So Bomb Bath Bomb Dispenser for children aged six plus as the charms are quite small.
Anyone familiar with traditional bath bombs will know that if too many colours and scents are used together the main colour and smell can be lost and result in a less spectacular outcome, muddy, brown water. So I would recommend rationing how many are used at the same bath–time, or try to stick to one colour. This is more difficult with multiple twists of the knob and the bath bombs whizzing out. “Oh, Nana you are such a spoil sport!”
The bath bombs are also effective in the shower, either by placing on the shower floor and running the water to watch the fizz and smell the scent (being careful that no one slips, of course), or pop in a string or cotton bag and hang from the shower controls, allowing the water to flow over the bath bomb.
When you run out of mini bath bombs there are kits from Canal Toys you can buy to make your own or more ready-made ones. Then there’s DIY. Having watched the DIY Youtube video this is a bit more complicated than it sounds. I opted for the kit as it’s simpler.
My daughter, two grandchildren and I have loved using this So Bomb Bath Bomb Dispenser from Canal Toys. It is engaging and great fun for everyone, children and adults alike. Highly recommended.
