The Bumpsters attach using velcro and are easy to install. The subtle dot and stripe patterns match well with most nursery schemes and the overall look is appealing.
However, having had a set of Bumpsters on my five month old son's cot for a few weeks, I'm afraid I do find it irritating that they tend to ride up and down the cot bars and need repositioning daily. I'm also not sure that they do the job of preventing bangs and bumps any better than traditional cot bumpers.
Whether Bumpsters are going to be of interest to you therefore comes down to whether you are concerned about air flow to your baby at night, and whether you feel happy to pay more for that design feature – personally I think they're a bit pricey.
Bumpsters sets are currently available in stone and white, soft pink and white and soft blue and white assorted striped ticking and polka dotted fabrics to create a striking decorative effect around the cot. Available as a set of eight small or six large Bumpsters for £32.50 from www.hippychick.com
