Like many of the best inventions,
The Wean Machine is a simple concept that has been thoroughly thought out and
well designed. It looks rather like a large
garlic press and works on the
similar principle but with added features. It's
portable and compact and comes with a
spoon so is ready to pop into the
baby bag ready for
mealtimes.
Fruits and cooked
vegetables are placed in the "cup", you bring down the
perforated layer and in seconds you have
puréed food ready for baby. I found that some foods with a
high water content come out a bit runny but you soon get the hang of it and there's a
lid to pop on so if you
squeeze too vigourously you don't get it all over you (as I did when
not using the lid!).
The Wean Machine is BPA, Phthalate and PVC free and can be
sterilised on the top shelf of a
dishwasher – but is not suitable for
microwave sterilisation.
The Wean Machine is a great gadget that I am happy to
recommend to other mums.
The
Wean Machine is available from Amazon.
