Alvin, Simon and Theodore are back and this time it's serious. They are terrified that their human Dave is going to propose to his new doctor girlfriend and then dump them. But even worse they could end up with a stepbrother who has taken an instant dislike to them. Cue a ridiculous road trip which is Alvin and the Chipmunks: the Road Chip.
When they first meet the girlfriend they are entranced – until they realise she come complete with a son who's determined to make their lives a misery. For boy and chipmunks there is only one point of agreement – they don't want to end up related. So the set off together knowing they have just three days do scupper Dave's plans. What follows is hilarious hijinks and music-packed adventures with lots of slapstick comedy and plenty of foot-tapping music..

This is a feel good family movie which will have kids in stitches. Harriet found it laugh out loud good. A great standby to have ready for rainy afternoons during the school holidays.
